Viessmann CarMotion HO Magnetic Tape 1mm thick, roll of 16.4 ft (5m)

Adhesive magnetic tape is polarized on its surface (south pole on top). It leads the guiding magnets of the CarMotion vehicles. This is the thicker full-millimeter version that requires a small grove to be cut into the roadbed but offers stronger connection to the front control arm of the vehicles. About 1/10 in (0.3cm) wide, 40mil (1mm thick). Each roll contains 16.4 ft (5 meters). Can be painted or covered with pre-fabricated roadbed.

Viessmann CarMotion is a system designed to bring realistic motion to 1:87 (HO) scale vehicles on your model train layout. The system uses a rechargeable battery and onboard steering electronics, allowing model cars and trucks to navigate layouts independently with lifelike acceleration, braking, and turning. Vehicles follow a magnet strip and can be programmed to drive certain routes, or pick up commands from magnets embedded next to the road. Vehicles also use infrared to communicate with each other to keep distances and stop on time. Basically, these little fools are better drivers than most of us. ;>
